We were pleasantly surprised when Milan, CEO of AMCEF, announced that we were opening a new office in Košice. You will find out how it all went in this blog article.
MOVING ON
If a technology company stagnates, it will start to decline. Already in the past years, we had clients from abroad. For example JSP Consulting, for which we created a design and brand for a distributor of a SAAS solution. Or an app for INOUTCOOL for recording the phases of the female cycle and calculating the probability of the gender of the unborn child.
But you can't manage all people from one place. Some come from other parts of Slovakia, and to concentrate all of them on just one city, which until now has been Bratislava, would be pure nonsense.
Many professional programmers can also be found on Faculty of Management and Informatics at UNIZE or at Technical University in Košice (TUKE) at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics. We would lose a lot of smart programmers this way.
And when we learned that starting in September we were going to set up offices in eastern Slovakia, it offered a great opportunity to expand.
WE ARRANGE A PLACE "WHERE THERE IS NOTHING"
Colleague Tomáš began a difficult journey by looking for a new office. He found a great location that is easy to get to from all directions. As soon as he saw the small and unfurnished offices, he was immediately determined. But as in our society, democracy works here too. We voted and the arrangements could begin. It has become the new address for AMCEF CREW in Košice Hraničná 794/2 in Košice.
Bare walls and not very attractive tiles on the floor did not make a good impression. Several super people from our company met, a carpet, a few flowers, a few suitable accessories were bought, and a representative office was built from bare walls and an empty room, where clients can enter without shame and who are interested in programming a new application or website.
OUR JOURNEY IS JUST BEGINNING
We made a few final adjustments and finally hung up AMCEF logo. And connecting computers was a complete no-brainer for programmers. We kept that as the icing on the cake. A few of us drank fragrant coffee from the new coffee machine to celebrate the opening of the new offices. Afterwards, we went for lunch and visited several Košice attractions.
And this is how our journey to establish new representative premises in Košice and expansion towards eastern Slovakia ended. Maybe it seems like a small step compared to global companies. But even such a small step can bring interesting opportunities in the future. After all, as they say, "the journey is the destination". And ours is just getting started.
